Parentinn's Scholarship 2016 has achieved a major impact on raising awareness of Cyberbullying to all students, we decided to increase the prize pool up $2500 this year.

In an effort to the cause of preventing cyberbullying, we have created the “Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship” for High School students.

Award: $1250 for High School students.

OCCC ACT NOW Scholarship
Deadline: Various
The ACT NOW scholarship is offered as an automatic merit-based tuition waiver program for the 2016 graduating class of high school students. The waiver amounts are based on the student's composite score on the national ACT. Students who score a 21 are eligible for a 3 hour credit tuition waiver. Scores of 22 - 23 receive a 6 hour credit tuition waiver, scores of 24-26 will receive a 9 hour credit tuition waiver, and scores of 27-30 will receive a 12 hour credit tuition waiver. Students with exceptional scores a 31 or higher will receive a 15 hour credit tuition waiver. All waivers are per semester; freshman year only.

Folds of Honor Foundation

Provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation.

McNair Scholars Program

Scholarship program is designed to prepare students for careers as graduate students, professors or professional researchers. Must be full time student, with 42 hours or more completed, 3.0 GPA & first generation college student or student from an underrepresented ethnic group.

Oklahoma City Community Foundation

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation is home to more than 120 scholarship funds established by individuals, organizations and companies. Varsity Tutors Scholarship
Deadline: Monthly
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.

Chuan Ai Lu Engstrom Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to current, full-time students at an accredited American university or college with a minimum GPA of at least 2.5. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to the global economy.

Raise Me Up Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students who have parents who are divorced and/or been raised in a single-parent household. Applicant must submit an essay or video on their family.

CIA Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $18,000
Closing Date: August 14, 2017
Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors or college freshmen and sophomores who are at least 18 years of age and U.S. citizens. Applicant must have financial need. Applicants selected for the program will complete work sessions during each summer break in Washington, D.C. If selected, student will be given an annual salary, benefits package and up to $18,000 per calendar year for tuition, mandatory fees, books and supplies.

Description: Scholarship is open to all high school and college students. Applicant must host an American Red Cross blood drive between June 1 and August 31, 2017.

Make Me Laugh Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and who are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2023) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. “You Deserve It” Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are residents of any of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or U.S. Territories and are 16 years of age or older and are either enrolled now, or will be enrolled within three months of registration in a qualified high school, college or university in the United States.

 

Camera Runner Photography Scholarship

Everyone knows how to take a picture with their phone or camera, but only a person who is truly interested in photography can feel if a shot will make a good picture or not. Camera Runner provides reviews of cameras and camera gear to help people take better pictures. Applicants must submit an essay explaining what they like about photography and include a favorite picture they’ve taken.

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled in an accredited U.S. high school, college, or university
  • Part-time and full-time students may apply
  • No specific field of study is required

Award: One $500 scholarship

Discover Student Loans Scholarships

Discover Student Loans wants to help you pay for college! By completing a short application, students are entered into a scholarship sweepstakes. Applicants can earn three additional sweepstakes entries by referring friends through email, Twitter, and Facebook. Scholarship winners will be randomly selected.

Eligibility:

  • Resident of the United States
  • At least 16 years old
  • High school senior or college student enrolled at least half-time
  • Parents of students may also apply

The Hammock Expert recognizes that investment in knowledge pays the best interest for the future. To apply, students must submit an essay explaining how they see technology impacting the world in the future.

Mirror Message Scholarship

Make the world happier, starting with your school! Seven out of ten girls believe they don’t measure up in some way. Join a movement of DoSomething.org members spreading positivity in their schools. Post encouraging sticky notes on mirrors in bathrooms, a place that can trigger low self-esteem. Upload pictures of the positive notes you’ve posted and be entered to win the scholarship.

Eligibility:

  • Reside in the U.S.
  • No citizenship requirement
  • Younger than 26 years old

Award: One $1,000 scholarship

AfterCollege Vocational & Trade Study Scholarship

AfterCollege believes that what's good for students is good for everyone: schools, employers, community and other students! That’s why they not only help students find jobs and internships but also offer scholarships to help fund their education. Students must submit a personal statement that describes their goals. Students may also upload an introductory video.

Eligibility:

  • 18 years of age or has submitted a parental consent form
  • Legal resident of the United States
  • Currently enrolled students working toward a certificate, diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree provided by a post-secondary institution such as a community college, career, vocational or trade school
  • Fields of study may include IT, Web Development Programming, Business Management, Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Nurse Assistant, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Criminal Justice or Paralegal Studies

Award: One $500 scholarship

Beauty + Wellness Scholarship

Skin Care Ox’s mission is to simplify the world of skin care by creating the most informative, high quality skin care guides, product reviews and advice available on the web. Don't Text and Drive Scholarship

According to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, texting while driving makes drivers 23 times more likely to get into a “safety-critical event.” The purpose of this scholarship is to help students understand the risks of texting while driving. Applicants must submit a 140-character message pledging to not text and drive. Finalists will be asked to write a 500 to 1,000 word essay about texting while driving.

Eligibility:

  • High school freshmen through seniors or current college or graduate students
  • Citizen or legal resident of the United States

Award: One $1,000 scholarship

Staples for Students Scholarship

Staples is helping students head back to school with the chance to win a college scholarship and a trip to see Lady Gaga in concert. Students can apply online if they’ve made qualifying purchases. However, no purchase is required to apply, and applicants may submit an entry by mailing in a short statement explaining which Staples product they believe would be most useful for a student to have as they return to school.

  • Legal resident of the United States
  • At least 13 years of age

National Driving and Traffic School is a top-rated provider of driver’s education online as well as online traffic school. Their program allows you to fulfill mandatory driver’s education requirements in an easy, fun, online format. The Hagan Scholarship Foundation

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide, need based merit scholarship for rural students who will require financial assistance to attend college. These students will graduate from a public high school located in a county in the United States having fewer than 50,000 residents. To be eligible for a Kids' Chance of Oklahoma, Inc. scholarship, applicants must have a parent who has been seriously or fatally injured in a workplace accident in the state of Oklahoma.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the following requirements: (1) Must be between the ages of 17 and 25 at the time of disbursement of the scholarship award. National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholar Application

Since 2013, The National Space Club and Foundation has offered the opportunity for a student to give the keynote address at the National Space Club and Foundation's annual Goddard Memorial Dinner, one of the space industry's most prestigious gatherings. The student must intend to pursue a career in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields, be academically strong and excel in public speaking. In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $10,000.
